The 4th Annual Balanced Man Scholarship Banquet will be on January 29th 2012 at the Hotel Bethlehem. Registration will be available on the website early next week. The brothers of SigEp at Moravian College hope you can join us for this event. Below are the awards that will be given out, along with our 2012 Balanced Man Scholar:

Red Door Award

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother who has, on various occasions, exemplified vast knowledge of the history, traditions, and principles of the Sigma Phi Epsilon National
and Local Fraternity.

Consummate Gentlemen Award

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother that displays the qualities of a true gentleman within the fraternity and the Moravian College community. We recognize this individual who exemplifies the true meaning of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.

Power House Athlete

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother who displays prowess on the field of competition. This brother has consistently performed at a very high level and continues to refine his physical skills for the betterment of himself and his team.

Philip J. Patrick Service Above Self Award

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother who has given of his time and talents for the betterment of the Undergraduate and Alumni Chapters.

Fearless Leader Award

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother who displays exemplary leadership within the fraternity and the Moravian College community. This brother has taken it upon himself to lead on campus through a variety of endeavors.

Diligent Scholar Award

Presented in recognition of the undergraduate brother with the highest cumulative grade point average. This brother has demonstrated his commitment to academic excellence within the chapter and the Moravian College community.

Family Appreciation Award

Presented in appreciation of a family that has demonstrated continued generosity and whose support has greatly benefited the Alumni Board and the Undergraduate Chapter.

3rd Annual Balanced Man Scholarship Golf Outing: April 17th

The third annual Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship Golf Outing will be taking place this year on Sunday, April 17th. It will be held again at the Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course on Illicks Mill Road in Bethlehem, PA. The tee off time is 1:00p.m and will be catered by Starters Restaurant. Cost will be $100 dollars per golfer, which includes green fees, cart fees, lunch, draft beer following golf play (for those who are 21) and specialty prizes for the top golfers. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the catered lunch and award presentations after golf play at a cost of $30 per person, the lunch will begin at approximately 5:00p.m. This year for the first time we will be having a pig roast! The second annual Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship will be taking place this year on Saturday, May 1st, 2010. It will be held again at the Bethlehem Municipal Gold Course on Illicks Mill Road in Bethlehem, PA. The tee off time is a 1:00 PM and will be catered by Starters Pub. Cost will be $100 dollars per golfer, which includes green fees, cart fees, lunch, open bar following golf play (for those who are 21) and possible specialty prizes. If you just want to come and hang out and spend time with the brothers, it will be $30 for the food. All the information for this event can be found on the flyer created by the undergrad brothers of SPE along with the registration form.

2009 Golf Tourney Raises $2,000 For BMS

The undergrads ended the semester on a high note by hosting a successful 2009 SigEp Golf Tournament that totalled over $2,000 in profits to benefit the Balanced Man Scholarship. There were 70 golfers in attendance and the winning foursome was Ryan Ulk’s (’11) uncle. The longest drive went to Ryan Rempe (’10) who won a $300 TaylorMade “Burner” Driver and closest to the pin went to Tim Dollarton (’11) who won a $100 value Odyssey Putter. Sweeney has compiled a vast collection of stats which you can find by clicking the “Read More” below. Golf Tourney to fund Balanced Man Scholarship

The brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Moravian College invite alumni, parents, friends, and the community to enjoy a day of food, fun, and golf to raise funds in support of our Balanced Man Scholarship. A catered lunch provided by Starters Pub will be served; recognition and prizes will also be awarded. The golf outing is scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course. The cost is $80 per golfer, including green fees, cart fees, lunch and potential prizes. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Read on for full details and registration forms.

2008 Balanced Man Scholarship

Last year’s campaign was one of the most successful of our chapter’s history, so we’re expecting another competitive applicant pool, another exciting result and another classy banquet.
