New AVC Leadership Announced

At this year’s Summer Retreat Alumni Meeting, the outgoing AVC members announced the names of those Alumni who will replace them and serve two-year positions.  The incoming members of the AVC are: Rob Bernadyn (’07), President; Calder Flynn (’03) and Dan Corey (’05), Vice Presidents of Finance and Fundraising; Mike Ossont (’07), Vice President of Communications; and Shawn Hinkel (’02), Newsletter Chair.  During their first meeting as AVC, they outlined their goals for the next two years, which include a big 10-year anniversary celebration, improved financial standing and reporting, updated contact information for all brothers and improved alumni involvement, and a completely re-designed professional-quality newsletter.  Read on for full bios.

President: Rob Bernadyn

Rob graduated in 2008 with a BA in Accounting. At present, he works for Parente Randolph LLC as an accountant specializing in Higher Education and Not for profit Health Care.

Vice Presidents of Finance and Fundraising:

Calder Flynn – Calder graduated in 2003 as a management major, but failed to attain his time management minor. He currently works for as an HRS Product Operations Supervisor for Paychex, Inc and resides in Rochester, NY with his wife of 2 months, Heather.

Dan Corey – Dan graduated in 2005 with a BA in Finance/Economics. He currently works in Manhattan with JP Morgan running a mortgage investment fund. Dan is engaged to another Moravian grad, Heather McGarvie, and both live in Hoboken, NJ. 

Vice President of Communications: Michael Ossont

Mike graduated in 2007 with a degree in Political Science with minor studies in Sociology/ Pre-Law. At this time he is a member of the Woodbridge Class at the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, MI. He is expected to graduate in the spring of 2010.

Newsletter Chair: Shawn Hinkel

Shawn graduated in 2002 with a BA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. Currently he is working for The Philadelphia Eagles and the Easton School District. In his spare time he also moonlights as a Private Detective out of NJ.
