
The 3rd Annual Relay for Life was by far the best relay Moravian College has had to date. The night started off with opening ceremonies which consisted of various speeches. One speech in particular stood out. That speech was given by Delta Tau Delta Fraternity Brother, Gerard Longo. Gerard is a cancer survivor and he told us about his struggles through his diagnosis and his treatments. It was awesome to hear from an individual who has survived the one thing we all have come to hate, cancer. Once he was done, we had our first lap of the night, the Survivor’s lap. These individuals are the reason why so many of us relay. All the teams followed the survivors as we walked around the track. Once this lap was complete, the festivities began.
